1. What inspired your career in weddings and events? Where did it all start?
I studied Hospitality Management at the University of Ulster in the Jordanstown campus. I did my placement year right here and never looked back! After graduating, I started as the Christmas Coordinator before moving into the Events team.
2. What’s your favourite part of the job?
No two days are ever the same, every couple and every event brings its own personality and vision. Seeing it all come together, from the first conversation to the final moment of the day, is incredibly rewarding.
3. How long have you been with Roe Valley Resort?
I’ve been part of the team since my placement year in 1999.
4. What’s the most memorable wedding you’ve planned?
Every wedding holds something special, whether it's a personal touch from the couple or a wow-factor surprise, such as arrivals to the venue, we've had everything from helicopters and horse & cart to tractors and lorries!
5. What makes Roe Valley Resort a dream wedding venue?
Exclusivity is a big one, we host one wedding per day, so the spotlight is all yours. We work closely with each couple to create a truly personalised experience, from the big picture to the smallest details. The grounds are stunning for photos, and if you’d like everything in one place, we also offer a beautiful ceremony space onsite, with a new striking glass Garden Pavilion ceremony space coming in 2026!
6. Are there any hidden gems in or around the resort that couples love?
Definitely! Our resort grounds offer gorgeous backdrops, especially around Mullagh Hill. Nearby, Roe Valley Country Park is a favourite for couples who love a natural, scenic vibe. And if you’re up for a short drive, Benone and Downhill Beach, with Mussenden Temple in the background, make for unforgettable wedding photos.

Plan ahead and stay organised, it makes all the difference. We’re also here to guide you every step of the way so you can actually enjoy the planning process and the big day itself!
